In a 19th century Neoclassical building, perfect example of an Athenian Residence, we have created six cozy apartments, walking distance from the Acropolis and the historical city center.
Based here you can discover all sight seeings of Athens with the help of our friendly staff.
OUR APARTMENTS
In Athens Residence we provide fully furnished one bedroom apartments in the heart of the historical center. By clicking below you can see details of all six apartments and you may book your stay.
Our apartments are A1 and A2 semi-basement around the courtyard , B1 and B2 on a raised ground floor and C1 and C2 on the first floor .

Acropolis
The Acropolis, considered the emblem of the city of Athens is a complex of temples built on a high rock structure, symbol of the Golden Age of Pericles. The Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess of wisdom Athena is still considered sacred ground and a magnificent example of ancient Greek architecture and geometry. Bearing a great cultural heritage, the sacred rock remains the most outstanding historic site in Athens.

Plaka
​
Plaka is considered the most romantic neighborhood of Athens.
The shadow of this magnificent monument falls over old and new buildings, over the temples and the ruins, the cafes and restaurants, the shops and stalls. Lysicrates monument on a central street is a landmark in the area. The impressive Tower of the Winds, or Aerides stands out for its beautiful frieze depicting the different winds. The temple of Olympian Zeus, dedicated to the father of all the ancient Gods, the Hadrians Arch, on the western side of the temple of Zeus, the Theatre of Dionysus, right below the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, with the renowned Attalus Stoa, includes a complex structure of buildings, whitch are of great historical interest.

Acropolis Museum
​
The Acropolis Museum , is an absolute must see. Inside, visitors can discover the ancient aesthetic wisdom of the Acropolis and feel the atmosphere of ancient Athens.
The Gallery of the Slopes of the Acropolis, the Archaic Gallery and the Parthenon Gallery display sculptures, inscriptions, finds from sanctuaries, as well as objects used in everyday life. Visitors can also watch conservators working, speak to an archaeologist host and acquire small souvenirs from the museum shop. The restaurant on the second floor offers a breath taking view of the Acropolis.

Odeon of Herodes Atticus
​
The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone theatre structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. Today is one of the best places to experience a live classical theater performance. This ancient theater was built in the Roman times, in about 161 A.D. by the Roman philosopher, teacher and politician Herodes Atticus.
You can attend the Athens Art Festival, musical concerts and classical tragedies under the night sky with a marvelous acoustic experience.

Philopappou Hill
​
Philopappou Hill is a green area to the south west of the Acropolis. It is a favorite promenade of the Athenians and there you can have great views of the Acropolis and the Saronic Gulf that surrounds Attica. Also called the Hill of the Muses, Philopappou Hill inhabited from prehistoric times to the post-Byzantine era, today the pine-clad slopes are a relaxing place for a stroll. They offer excellent views of Attica and some of the very best vantage points for photographing the Acropolis.

EMST
​
The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST) began its operation in 2000. Permanent home of the Museum is the former Fix brewery on Syngrou Avenue, the reconstruction of which was completed in February 2014. The building occupies 18.142 sqm on a 3.123 sqm surface.
The Museum’s collection is formed around a very important nucleus of works by Greek and foreign artists. And it’s all accessible art, art that you can approach, move around, walk through, even touch.

Monastiraki Square
​
In the heart of the Athens center, Monastiraki square is a unique blend of styles, eras and cultures, lively and always dynamic. If you stand in the center of Monastiraki square and do a 360 degree turn, you will see the very history of Athens.
After renovation, the square is paved with mosaic blocks of marble, carved stone and cast iron, symbolizing the "flows" and the variegation of people.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation

In 2006, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) announced its plans to fund the development of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, a project that includes the construction and complete outfitting of new facilities for the National Library of Greece and the Greek National Opera, as well as the creation of the 210,000 m² Stavros Niarchos Park.
The SNF is one of the world’s leading private, international philanthropic organizations, making grants in the areas of arts and culture, education, health and sports, and social welfare.
